Happy Birthday Rylie!

Today was my niece Rylie 's 8th birthday. Her and her brother are two of my favorite people in the whole world. They have taught me so much about life and how to appreciate the time I am given with the people I love. I hope my sister does not mind but I have to share one of the most inspirational stories I experienced with Rylie.
For those of you that don't know my niece and nephew were both born with a rare type of Muscular Dystrophy which as part of that left them both paralyzed at birth. A few months ago Rylie was staying with us for a few days to help prevent her from getting the same sickness her brother had (swine flu). It was a sunday and mine and Gregg's Anniversary so we had gone to celebrate. We came home to find Rylie in the dining room coloring some pictures. I walked over to see what she had drawn and it was a rainbow with a picture of her and some friends. She titled the picture "I Dream Of Walking." I put my arm around her and began to tell her that thats why they do all the fundraisers for Muscular Dystrophy is to try to find a cure so she could walk some day, and that there is always hope that her and her brother will be able to walk some day. It got quiet for a minute then she smiled and looked up at me and said, "Its okay Jen, I will walk when I'm in heaven." I couldn't hold it back I just started to cry. The strength that little girl has is amazing and I'm so grateful for her. Its proof to me that there really are angels among us. Love you Rylie bugs hope you had the best birthday ever!!

What we have been up to

So a lot has gone on the last couple weeks. A few weekends ago my whole family went to a monster truck rally for my nephew Kanyon's birthday it was so cute to see that little man so excited to see those big trucks; he never took his eyes off them. Then last weekend my sisters Jamie's kids came and stayed with us while her and her husband went to Mexico. It was so much fun having those kids with us for a couple days. We even got to celebrate Saylor's birthday while she was here and had a little birthday party. I have to admit Saylor was such a good sport dealing with me, I just loved dressing her up and of course doing her hair at least three times a day. Ha Ha poor thing. Man do those kids love their uncle Gregg. As long as he was there everyone was happy. lol. It was a good experience for me to see how much they love him and love to be around him. Reassures me that he is going to be an awesome dad someday. I also want to say how happy I am that my niece Rylie got to come home friday after being sick in the hospital for a week. She is one tough cookie and I love her so much.

Gregg's Work

Gregg is always coming home and showing me pictures of different jobs he has been working on and I think its awesome how proud he is of what he does. I think it is a sign a true craftsman and as you can see alot of talent. Him and his coworkers do amazing work and I just wanted to share with all of you some of the projects they have done and what he has shown me.

Its Mario Time!!

I was so excited the Herds surprised us and came up this weekend. We love those kids so much and always have so much fun hanging out with them. This picture was taken friday night when Gregg and the kids decided to have a video game tournament. I was too tired to join in on the fun so I decided to go to bed. I woke up a few hours later and was surprised that Gregg had still not come to bed so I walked into the family room to find all four of them in the same spot on the love sac fast asleep with controllers still in hand. It was so funny and so cute at the same time to see them all snuggled together.

Christmas parties

Last weekend me and Gregg went up to Buhle, Idaho for the Yates christmas party. We had lots of fun my aunt Irene organized a sleigh ride through the mountains that the whole family got to go on and Santa even found time to stop by for a visit. It was really great to get the whole family together in such a beautiful place. We were also able to visit Gregg s sister Kristen and her husband Jess in twin falls which was fun. I just love this time of year cuz we get so many chances to do fun things with our families. I also want to let my mom know how much I love her and how grateful I am for all that she does for us. Love ya mom. We hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season.

Team Jacob

Just thought I would show everyone that yes Gregg totally wore a team Jacob shirt to the movie New Moon. It was freakin sweet I really think it made the movie ten times better. And if you cant tell already we are Team Jacob fans all the way (well I am but now that Gregg has seen the movie he agrees that I made a good choice.) Love you Greggy your the best.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
As you can tell me and Gregg dressed up as bacon and eggs. ha ha. It was the first time in years either of us dressed up and Im so happy my husband was such a good sport about it. We spent halloween night at my sisters house watching my all time favorite halloween movie Hocus Pocus.

Me and my niece and nephew on halloween night. Rylie was a "cute witch" as she would say and my nephew was Edward. The man of all our dreams. It was a fun night.

We or should I say I dressed up our kitty for halloween. He absolutely hated it but put up with it for about five minutes to make me happy.

Rollercoaster

Rollercoaster
So I had to show everyone this picture of our family on the Atlantis rollercoaster at sea world. The looks on everyones faces is priceless. Lol, especially my sisters and myself.
