My Chunker Boo!!!

Well i decided it was time to do a little catching up on our blog. Our little Rigby family has been really busy but not busy enough to forget how to have a lot of fun. Here are just a few things my little munchkin has been up to these days.....

Shakobe has discovered his love for driving. As soon as his Dad gets home from work he is taking one of our hands and leading us to the door. What used to be an obsession with just outside has now turned to driving Daddy's big truck which only his little fingers can be on the steering wheel and he will let you know of that rule the very first chance he gets. He also pushes all the buttons in the truck such as the blinker, hazard lights, brights, heater, and radio. In this particular picture he turned the radio to the spanish station and turned the volume to full blast. We all were rockin out to it!!!
Daddy Got him his first SIX INCH sandwhich from subway and he could not eat it fast enough if you can believe it. May I remind you all my little boy is not even a year and a half yet so it blows my mind what a good eater he his. We also discovered he likes green peppers that day. He does not get his taste buds from his mother. Grows more and more like his Daddy and I could not be more proud.
We went with grandma and grandpa Yates to a wedding reception where they had a dance and shakobe went wild on the dance floor. When he decides to stop being shy he gets dance fever and keeps going even after the music has stopped. LOL.
Our boy loves to go visit great grandpa and grandma Rigby, and Grandpa and Grandma Rigby where he can feed and ride the horses. (though he does not understand why we wont let him go into the carrel and play with the horses like they were kitties or puppies.) We have only found two things that scare Shakobe  and those are when his Dad coughs, and the long springy door stoppers. That is a very scarey monster he wants out of our house! He wont even go into our downstairs bathroom cuz he knows one is in there and he would be way too close to it.
My little helper always helps me get the laundry out of the dryer until one day he dropped his bouncy ball inside and decided it was a pretty cool hang out spot for him and his toys. Kynlee was there and knew he was up to no good so she just waved good bye to him as he jumped up and down inside the dryer so proud of what he had accomplished.
Shakobe and his dad always have some sort of shenanagins in the works and as I was doing some work at kinkos one night I started to hear laughter from both of them. I looked over to see Shakobe biting Gregg's face so hard that his whole body was shaking and they both thought it was so funny. Cant trust these two alone they are sure to get themselves into trouble.

They do eventually settle down and take naps together which is pretty much the most adorable thing in the universe.

Gregg, Shakobe, my mom, and I went and toured the Brigham city Temple which was gorgeous Im so happy my sister Jamie gave us her tickets so we could go. Shakobe pointed to a giant chandelier in one of the rooms and continuousely belted out "OOOOOOOOOOH, OOOOOOOH, OOOOOH." It was an amazing experience for our little family.
Its that time of year again. Time for the Boys of Fall. So opening night of the football season my boys jerseyed up and showed everyone their Patriot pride. Even though Shakobe is also a Ravens fan for his mommy of course. Just need to get him a Ray Lewis jersey since he is already following in the foot steps to be as big as Ray number 52.
Showing off the numbers on there backs representing there biggest fans. Such an awesome picture!!!
We got new family pictures taken this last sunday. great grandma rigby thought it was so funny to  watch all the funny faces everyone was pulling to make Shakobe smile. Ashlee was playing peek a boo with him and instead of laughing like he usually does he started to play peek a boo back at her. It was so hilarious I cant wait to see how they turned out. Perfect as usual!!!!
Gregg and his sisters threw a suprise Anniversary party for there parents which turned out so amazing. Im sure lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful people. Happy Fall Everyone!!!!

What June Brought us!!

So I am finally catching up on some of the things we have done this summer. I realized it is like major picture overload so Im cutting down to what we did through the month of June. Tonz of fun I love love love summer!
My brother Josh was able to come and visit for a few days and we all had a BBQ together. We had alot of fun and Gregg and the boys played for hours at the park. All the kids love Gregg so much I feel pretty lucky. Even though to them Im just the lady to ask if they cant see Gregg right away. They figure I can lead them to him. lol.
Gregg celebrated another birthday this June. 29 if you can believe. I love my hubby so much he is the best husband and Daddy anybody could ever ask for.
We have great neighbors that have lead us on some great hikes we have been able to go on together. And a extra plus our little man got to go feed the ducks at first dam which he absolutely loved. even without his swimgear on he was heading through the water to go get him some ducks. Good thing daddy had a tight hold of him.
Shakobe and I gave Gregg the choice to go away for the weekend wherever he wanted. He chose to go see the Herd kids and head up to Yellowstone for a few days. We decided to just pick up the kids and take them with us. So glad we did it made the trip that much more memorable.
Gregg and the kids at the 3 Bear restaraunt where we had breakfast every morning!
Our condo we stayed in was next door to the Grizzly discovery center so every morning we went over to check out the bears and wolves. And had the kids be apart of the Rangers lessons they do for children about  bears. They loved it and talked about it the whole trip the boys were so proud they new how to defend themselves from bears. Saylor just wondered where Yogi bear was since we had his friend "Boo Boo" (shakobe) in our group.
Saylor and Kanyon in one of the bear traps. They look pretty happy to be caught.
On the famous big bear couch at the Grizzly center!
At one of the many beautiful waterfalls in Yellowstone!
Shakobe trying to escape from his stroller. I know Grandmas your probably holding your breath looking at our little daredevil. There is not much this kid is afraid of. Which frightens his mommy!
Gregg is the perfect guide to have on a yellowstone trip he knows alot of history behind the places there and the kids were more interested in it from what they learned. Here at some paint and mud pots.
Had a yummy picnic in Mammoth! The kids were all happy to be out of the car and eat if you cant tell. At that picnic we named all the animals we had seen that day and saylor said at the end, "But we have not seen any Elephants. (sad face)" Lol.. And thats after Dax told us that he was sure he had just seen either a buffalo or a kangaroo he could not tell. Ha Ha. How exotic that place is getting.
Everyone at the volcano museum. One of our favorite stops.
Upper/lower falls. I dont think I took a single breath the whole way down to it and I made everyone hold hands. Look closely and you see my favorite people standing at the top of this giant waterfall.
We stopped at this really cool Indian battle field. Me and gregg both being very into native american history we were very impressed with this place.
Look at the cousins being so good to shakobe that was getting very irratable being out in the hot sun all day.  My boy hates to be hot just like his Daddy. Thanks Herd cousins your the best.
My chunk of cheese and gregg at Opal Pool. We have made this a mandatory stop every year cause Opal is the name of Greggs great grandma. Memories built and still being made from an amazing family.
The Old Faithful visitor center has a amazing science experiment room for kids. All the kids are standing next to the man made gyser. That was a amazing place to take the kids.
All the boys at Old Faithfull!

Shakobe and Old Faithful are about to let off some serious steam.
The boys inside the big theatre inside Old Fatihful visitor center!
YaY! After sitting in the heat waiting for Old Faithful to go off we decided to cool off with some ice cream. Yum Yum!
Inside Old Faithful Inn. Here we found pictures and info about who we believe to be ancestors from my moms side of the family. Pretty awesome!

 Everyone at the Petrified tree!

Me and shakobe watching a Black Bear that was wandering around right close to our car. Shakobe was also very interested in the Rangers bear mase he was holding of course.

On our way home from Yellowstone! Had to share this picture of Shakobe, Saylor, and Kanyon having so much fun playing togerther. So special. We had such an amazing trip together i will never forget it. Im in the process of making a book about it and all the funny things the kids did and said during it. Me and Gregg literally started writing them all down cuz we loved it so much. Thanks to another amazing family trip. Can not wait for the next one.

Our trip to the Zoo

Im finally posting about our awesome zoo trip we took for Shakobe's birthday. It was such a blast because our little man is so obsessed with animals and is always wanting to get them and mimic the sounds they make. Thanks everyone that came with us on that fun filled day it was amazing!
One of our first stops was to see the tigers. Shakobe got to touch some tiger fur which totally amazed him he just starred at the guy saying "OOOW" funny little man.
Spent most of the day on top of his Daddy' shoulders which he was very happy about so he kept rewarding Daddy with kisses. One of the cutest things!
So excited about all the monkeys that surrounded him. Monkey Paradise!
Chunk the Monk, Daddy Monk, Dax the max gorilla!
Weighing everyone at the elephant scale. Gregg and Rylie's torturing of each other is never put on hold. Gregg thought it was so funny to follow Rylie around and repeatedly tell her that she weighs as much as two Elephants poop in a month. LOL.
I don't care what anyone says this picture of Kanyon and Shakobe walking together is the cutest thing I have ever seen. What good little buddies they are.
 More kisses for Daddy!
Our Family at my very favorite part of the zoo. The Elephants. Man that is one good looking family. ha ha.
Wait a second those monkey's sure do look familiar!!!
 Measuring up our little gorilla!!!
When we got home we went back to our house for dinner and more birthday cake and banana splits! Shakobe loves Saylor he kept chasing her around the house and once he got up to her he gave her a great big Bear Hug! I think he was trying to take her down also, LOL. Such a funny kid. So glad we could take him to do this.

Shakobe's Birhtday Party

Had to show the birthday boy's awesome Monkey birthday cake my friend Shantell made. The party was as you can tell Monkey themed and she absolutely outdid herself with this cake. Everything was edible the monkeys were even made out of fondant. Not only did it look to die for but it tasted unbelievable. Which is hard to do both but she did it. Thanks so much Shantell your so amazing and Shakobe ate his part in almost one bite.
We gave Monkey Man the top part of his 3 tear cake and it was so hilarious he did not waste any time he picked up the whole thing with both hands and dove right in. He inhaled it by the handfuls I think afraid we might take it away from him and shocked his mom and dad are finally letting him make a mess with his food. And a big Your Welcome for all the chocolatey kisses he was giving out when he was done. I love this little boy so much. That smile melts my heart every time.
May 10th was by far one of the best days. Not only was it Shakobe's first birthday but his cousin Bryson was voted in Student Council. Bryson said he was using Shakobe as his good luck charm cuz it was his birthday but I don't think Bryson needed it he is loved by all and we were so excited that he made it. We were so happy these two could share this exciting day together I know I won't forget it.
The cutest Space Ranger in the Universe on his new Buzz Lightyear 4 wheeler he got for his birthday. The 4 wheeler is only for inside though he thinks. As soon as we take it outside he hops right off and takes off running. Outside is for running not just going 2mph on a toy there is no time for that.
I wanted to show some of the things we had at his party. Im all about pictures and conserving memories so I thought for his first Birthday we would display pictures of a lot of his 1st's. First holiday's, first time swimming, 1st time riding pony with Daddy, 1st zoo trip, and of course 1st Super Bowl. I also had a scroll made of everything in history that happened on his birthday including, prices of things on the day he was born, news, sports, movies, books, and etc. I think that will be really neat to look back on.
We also did a picture display table of most of our Favorite Moments this past year. Like standing on top of the dishwasher door, scaring his cousin to tears and him wondering what he did, sending everything imaginable for a ride on his race car track including himself even though he didn't fit, family home evening with grandma and grandpa, pushing the wheel barrel while helping Daddy do yard work, and of course favorite moments at the hospital after he was born.
We also did a signature table where we had people write a little message on a matte around his picture telling him something special that he can look back on.
And finally we did a outfit timeline from his first year. I figured if I was going to do this then this would be the best time just to see how much he had grown from a newborn to a One year old. Made me kinda sad to see how much he has changed, but again so fun to look back on this amazing year. Love you Shakobe .

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
As you can tell me and Gregg dressed up as bacon and eggs. ha ha. It was the first time in years either of us dressed up and Im so happy my husband was such a good sport about it. We spent halloween night at my sisters house watching my all time favorite halloween movie Hocus Pocus.

Me and my niece and nephew on halloween night. Rylie was a "cute witch" as she would say and my nephew was Edward. The man of all our dreams. It was a fun night.

We or should I say I dressed up our kitty for halloween. He absolutely hated it but put up with it for about five minutes to make me happy.

Rollercoaster

Rollercoaster
So I had to show everyone this picture of our family on the Atlantis rollercoaster at sea world. The looks on everyones faces is priceless. Lol, especially my sisters and myself.
