Soldiers Deck of Cards
I just wanted to share this video because it was very inspiring to me. I cry every time I see it. My aunt Gennie sent this to me and I absolutely love it. I think that it touches me especially because its all the things me and Gregg have been discussing alot lately. Remembering all the things to be thankful for not only the most important Heavenly Father but also all the brave men and women that have faught to give us all the freedoms we have today. Enjoy! Its totally awesome!

Weekend at the Herd's House!
My first sleep over at Aunt Jamie's. I was so excited I could barely sleep the first night we were there.
PLaying Shack a Bee's new favorite game Basketball in Dax and Kanyon's room. Dax wanted to take a picture.
Gregg and Kanyon making a Leprechaun trap. It was really cute they had so much fun making it together. While they did that the girls spent the day doing eachothers hair and nails. Such a blast.

9 months
Oh my where has the time gone! We took Shakobe in for his 9 month check up yesterday and it is still hard for me to grasp its almost been a year since our little boy came to us. He is a funny, constant growing, "curious" little boy. I say that in quotations because my mom got after us once when we called him naughty, "Don't call him naughty, he is not naughty, he is just curious." LoL Gotta love it. Our curious little boy is into everything he can get his hands on, crawls like crazy, stands up on everything, and in Gregg's words he is "Practicing the Walking Arts." He does so by pushing his walker, pushing his bouncer, walking his Lightening Maqueen race car(I guess he has decided he is much faster walking the race car then driving it.), and is sweet enough he wants his cousin kyn to enjoy the fun too so he pushes her around inside one of his walkers.
Shakobe is also a great eater which I am so grateful for. He likes everything we put in front of him. Gregg told a friend once, "If its food Shakobe will eat it, and sometimes when its not food Shakobe will eat it." We are so blessed to have this amazing little boy in our lives he has givin so much joy to our family. I found a quote that I love from Gordan B Hinkley that reminds me of all our time these passed nine months.
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." ~Gordon B. Hinckley, 2006
I love Gordan B Hinkley's quotes me and gregg keep one on our fridge that we read every day to remind us to focus on the many blessings we have. Shakobe is our greatest blessing and I feel truely grateful to be given the opportunity to be his mother. He really has been such a wonderful baby I don't know how we got so lucky. We sure do love or Chunk of Monk.
He was sick with the flu when he went in for his check up but here are his stats even though the weight is probably do to some loss of poundage from the bug he had.
Weight: 20.48 pounds, 45th percentile
Height: 29.25 inches, 77th percentile
Head size: 49.1, off the charts or 100th percentile
Doctor had to remeasure his head to make sure it was right then commented, "Well he is gonna be a smart boy." Could not be more proud of our little Stewie.

Takin Kyn for a ride around the house!! so funny

Went to visit Grandpa at his work on Saturday. Had to try on this awesome hat they have there. Love to visit grandpa and take him and grandma out to dinner.

Went and ate at Golden Carrol and spoiled him with a cupcake and grandma snuck him a bite of cotton candy. Grandma's are big spoilers. The cupcake turned out to be a bad idea for mommy and daddy though. Afterwords Shakobe thought it was time to party like it was 1999 til about 3 in the morning. If any of you are wondering what he was like just watch the movie "Over the Hedge" at the end when the squirrel Hammy drinks the energy drink. Yep that was our little man that evening.

Hello everyone hope you had a great weekend. Sad news the New England Patriots lost the Super Bowl but they played hard and we had a fun time watching the game. Life has been busy at the Rigby house between work and side projects. My sweet neighbor asked me to come teach some valentine crafts at reliefsociety someone gave her the idea that im creative which I'm not at all i just have really creative friends which I copy. Lately I have been obsessed with my friend Kelli's blog called Creative Juices. You can find just about anything on there and they are some of the cutest things I have ever seen. So thanks kelli I used some of your projects that night and they turned out really cute and inexpensive which I love. Most of my supplies I found at the dollar store isn't that awesome? Here is some of what I made...

This Was Gregg's favorite just get a 6 pack of crush soda any flavor will do and with scrap paper put a sign that says, "I've gotta CRUSH on you." simple but cute.

This one was really fun for me. You get a flip top can (I used campbells chunky soup) use a smooth edge can opener to open the bottom, use whatever is in the can and wash it out, then fill the can with candy and hot glue the bottom back on. Last but not least decorate the can as you desire. love loved it.

Here is a edible bouqet my fav. All I did was use a valentine paper bag for the vase and place a foam flower block in the bottom, then use skewers and place redvines through them for the stem, next get heart gummies they are the glue to hold the cookie on the skewer one under the cookie and one above. And Tadahh your finished.

On creative juices they have a printable for these "Love Dice." a fun little game for you and your hunny to play on Valentines Day. Its Greggs new favorite game. ha ha ha. Dont worry its a clean version you wont need to be too embarrassed.

THis I did not make for reliefsociety these are some patriot themed treats I made for our super bowl party I thought I would share. Im obsessed lately with theming things. Find anything i can to make fun for my little boy.

And of course how could I talk about the super bowl with out showing a picture of my boys during our party. Bryson spent the weekend with us cuz his sister Rylie was sick darn it but we had tons of fun with him at our house. Even though sometimes i feel like we are the kids and he is the adult he is so responsible and mature I don't even know what to think sometimes. Poor thing puts up with shakobe being obsessed with his and Rylie's wheelchairs. if shakobe gets within 3 feet of their chairs they turn them off so he can play with them. They try to steer clear of the babies but as soon as they get home from school Shakobe is crawling around chasing them . Bryson once told me when little man was playing with his chair he said "Hey its like he is my Pit Crew." Lol. So now Shakobe is Pit Crew 1 and Kynlee is Pit Crew 2. lol. I truley treasure these times.

Happy Super Bowl Sunday
Happy Super Bowl everyone! Our family is cheering for the Patriots since it is Greggs favorite team. I prefer to say Im cheering for Robert Craft the owner of the Patriots cuz Im still a little sensitive that the Patriots beat my Ray Lewis and the Baltimore Ravens. And I strongly feel that without Robert Craft we would not have had a NFL season this yearand he deserves a win after loosing his wife Myra this year to cancer. So lets go Tom Brady and the Pats lets do it for bobCraft.

Had to post my little chunk in his patriots gear. the top pic is so funny to us he is sucking on his top lip. Such a funny little chunk we have. Have a fabulous super Bowl Sunday everyone. Will post more from our party later!

Christmas, New Years, and a Butt load of pictures!
Cuddling with aunt ashee on Christmas eve. Had a fun party at Aunt Natalie's that wore him right out it was all too exciting. Thanks Fam for such a good time.
A tradition in mine and Greggs house is every christmas eve we get eachother a xmas tree ornament. This years ornaments were very special cuz they were all about little mans first christmas. I love it.
Sporting his my first christmas duds on christmas eve. Had a birthday party for aunt Jess who's birthday is on christmas day but we celebrate it christmas eve with a yummy dinner and lot of christmas games. Me and Gregg's favorite is christmas Bingo. Happy Birthday Aunt Jess, your 29 now and forever right?
I freaking love shakobe in all his christmas pictures. he is cheesin it so big. Very excited for Daddy's new X-Men movie. lol
So Happy to wrip open all his presents he had been trying to sneak over and do it on his own for weeks could not believe it was finally time. Love him so much!!
We started a new tradition in our house this year. Christmas morning we make Monkey Bread as a family for our little monkey. That is Shakobe 's nick name "Monkey" so when one of my clients told me she makes it for her kids on xmas morning I found it very fitting to do it in our household also. It was fun and delicious. I love discovering new traditions to start as parents now. Funnest thing i ever imagined.
Gregg brought home the Title from great grandma Rigby's house this year for eating the most pancakes christmas morning. Are you ready for this? He ate 30 pancakes i could not believe it. What a champ! We are so proud of you!
Opening more presents with Rigby cousins and Aunts. He had such a blast soaking in all the attention that he was asleep before we even pulled out of the driveway of their house.
Gregg's cousin Courtney came home from his mission just a few days before christmas so on christmas day we went and visited him. Shakobe loved him the minute he saw him. We are so happy to have him home.
Shakobe loved it at aunt Janets house. It was like he had a instant sense of comfort there and fell asleep right in Janets arms. So lucky to have so many great family members.
My little family Christmas day at grandma and grandpa Yates's House.
Look how awesome my Patriot boys look. They got matching Tom Brady jerseys and matching Patriot beanies. They looked so handsome.
My family played Just Dance 3 on christmas night it was so fun and funny. Cant show picture of me dancing though all Gregg got was a Ginormous shot of my butt so I thought I would spare you all from the scary sight of that. little 3 year old saylor was the champ of us all. Way to go Say!!
Had to show Dax's reaction to his Harry Potter Wand he got from my mom. me and Gregg were even stoked for him.
Monk playin with Say's new barbie horsy with Kanyon and Saylor. Fun cousin time.
Spoiled little man's first christmas. Thank you everyone for making this the best christmas of our lives for Shakobe.
Tryin out his new walker from Grandma. Just counting down the days til he starts walking on his own im so scared. lol.
Over christmas break Shakobe got to have Bryson and Kynlee come sleep over at our house. Rylie had to have emergency surgery down at primary's so thats why those two came and stayed with us. We had a ton of fun but wished Ry could have been there with us.
Shakobe 's first New Years Eve. He started getting sick that day so he mostly just wanted to sleep. Poor little guy.
Shakobe woke up ten minutes before midnight so we watched the ball drop together and when the clock stroke 12:00 me and Gregg kissed him on his cheeks to ring in the new year. Hope you all enjoyed your holidays as much as we did!! Love all. Sorry for the outrageous amount of pictures but its my thing!

Tis the season of many parties, gatherings, meeting old St. Nic and many other joyous occasions. This has by far been the best holiday season of my life and sorry for the outrageous amount of pictures but I just want to share our experiences with you all!

Shakobe meeting Santa for the first time. I was a little nervous he would pull on santa's beard like he does his daddy's but we were lucky he was more interested in ringing santa's bells on his suit!

Kanyon and Saylor waiting to see Santa to show Shakobe to not be afraid. (Even though Saylor refused to look at Santy Claus.)

Kynlee and Shakobe trying to plan a way to get ahold of santa's fancy bells.

Santa took a minute to talk to Bryson and Rylie. This busy guy remembered what these kids have wanted in years passed I was really impressed.

Shakobe was amazed by santa just sat there and looked him over. lol

This year in my dads family we did something different and had a ugly christmas sweater contest. I loved it and here are the contestants

My little Fabulously hideous sweater wearing family!! I know some of you will want to barrow my pretty number im wearing but sorry its off limits!!

At the party my aunt Judy had a horse drawn wagon that her Grandsons took people on wagon rides. it was so much fun. thanks Judy.

Little man loved it so much he fell asleep without his bink or anything. He is his grandpa's boy thats for sure.

My friend made this awesome cake for brysons 13th birthday. She did a great job so if any of you ever need a sweet cake for any occasion let me know.

Gregg and babies at Brysons birthday party.

Grandpa Richard had a fun work christmas party we were able to go to. It was at the fun park with another visit from santa who brought a extra special treat he loved. a plastic candy cane full of candy but little man loved the plastic. lol. Thanks grandpa for such a great time. Oh and HAPPY birthday today from your little buddy.

That same day was my grandma childs Christmas party in brigham. Gregg helped say open her present from them.

Shakobes first christmas present he got to open. He loved the paper. My grandparents are amazing. Me and Jamie figured it out and they have 5 children, 16 grandchildren, and soon to be 32 great grandchildren. WOW. and every year they get us all presents which they dont need to we are happy just to spend time with them but grateful for all they give us.

Soaking up all the attention from the Child family!

More attention!

More more attention!!

Extreme amount of attention which he was very satisfied with. Looked at me like "Look at this mom"

Merry Christmas all!! Love the Rigbys

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
As you can tell me and Gregg dressed up as bacon and eggs. ha ha. It was the first time in years either of us dressed up and Im so happy my husband was such a good sport about it. We spent halloween night at my sisters house watching my all time favorite halloween movie Hocus Pocus.
Me and my niece and nephew on halloween night. Rylie was a "cute witch" as she would say and my nephew was Edward. The man of all our dreams. It was a fun night.
We or should I say I dressed up our kitty for halloween. He absolutely hated it but put up with it for about five minutes to make me happy.
Rollercoaster
So I had to show everyone this picture of our family on the Atlantis rollercoaster at sea world. The looks on everyones faces is priceless. Lol, especially my sisters and myself.
