Blessing Day and Month One

Today was a big day for our family. We were able to bless Shakobe along with his little cousin Kynlee. It was such a special day Im so glad they were able to share it together. I just wanted to say thank you to our wonderful family and friends for coming and supporting us on this day. I have to share some of my favorite pictures of our little guy from today and catching up on the last couple weeks. Can you believe it he will be four weeks on tuesday? Where has the time gone?? P.S. Shakobe Jackson Rigby

Thats right everyone our little angel has finally arrived. It took some work to get him into this big big world but I can honestly say it was worth every single minute of it. It all started on mothers day May 8th (my due date) me and Gregg made it to the hospital at 7 p.m. to be induced I don't want to bore or possibly scare any of those wonderful future mothers out there so I will just say that through everything that happened I'm even more in love with my husband then I was before (which I didn't think was possible.). He was my rock through the whole process and he did absolutely everything he possibly could to help me through labor. Even just having him there next to me never leaving my side was so comforting I cant thank him enough for that.

Monday the 9th was a blur of ups and downs but thankfully if I had to say something great about the whole thing it would be that Shakobe 's heart rate stayed so strong and perfect through the whole long must I say painful process. Skipping to the Grand Finale our beautiful baby boy decided it was time to enter the world on Tuesday May 10th at 3:47 a.m.! 8 pounds 8 ounces 21 inches long. He is such an amazing baby words can not express how happy we are. Because of the long labor and the fact that I ended up with a fever towards the end; Shakobe ended up in the nicu for what we were told would possibly be a week because he had a slight temperature which could be from an infection. Me and Gregg impatiently waited to here results from his labs. Someone upstairs was looking over him because what was suppose to be at least 48 hours turned into two maybe three hours and he was back in our room with us.

I cant end this post without thanking our families for being so completely amazing staying at the hospital waiting for our little guy to come. I cant express my gratitude to my sisters for coming into my room and showing there support and even making me laugh about the whole thing. They even brought there kids which I love so much and was so glad they were there for me even though they couldn't come see me. And I have to say thank you to My dad and Greggs dad for giving me a blessing when Gregg asked for it. They all found uncomfortable spots to spend the night and waited til he finally made it us. Love you all for staying next to the door or next to the phone to show your love and support to our new little family. It makes me so emotional to say that I'm so so happy shakobe has such an amazing family behind him. Love you, now what you have been waiting for an overload of pictures!!! The Nerdy Birthday Girl!

Me 32 Weeks an Jess at 33 weeks. Almost there.

This is what happens when you keep us girls awake after

ten at night. LOL. We had lots of fun.

I had to show you what I woke up to this morning. Saylor wanted to sleepover

and she is so cute she always has to be snuggled right up to Gregg. Love them so much.

So this Friday was my sister Jamie's birthday. I was so excited they decided to come down and celebrate with us. She decided she wanted us all to go to Texas Roadhouse friday night for her birthday dinner. I was hoping to get a picture of her on the saddle but lucky for her; in the words of jamie and my dad I would say, "We had a great waiter, but the poor guy was just having a rough night." For those of you that know my dad and Jamie I know you are picturing them saying that. I'm not as nice as them I wish I was, but I know jamie was happy that he still forgot after telling him twice that it was her birthday. After dinner we went back to my sister Jess's house for cake and ice cream. Yum! Yum! Then saturday we had a girls shopping day which I told Jamie I would go as long as we finished the trip with ice cream. So we shopped until we literally dropped, then went to charlie's and enjoyed some delicious ice cream.

I just want to tell Jamie that I hope she had a fabulous birthday and I love her so much. She does so much for me and I sure appreciate all the love and support she gives me. Happy Birthday Jamer your the best!!!

27 weeks

Well I just wanted to show you all me at 27 weeks. This was also the night of the super bowl so I was sporting steeler s colors even though I asked Bryson my nephew at the end of the game if I could switch to his team the Green Bay Packers. Me and Gregg had a great time we just made tons of junk food and enjoyed the day just me and him (trying to fit as many in as possible before the little man gets here.) I just have to say I'm so grateful for my husband he takes such amazing care of me. I may gain a good 500 pounds before this is all over but i sure appreciate all the cute gestures he does to pamper me. Being pregnant I have realized exactly how vain I really am. The changes of my body have been really tough on me but Gregg is so great to leave me little notes on the counter, tell me, or text how beautiful he thinks I am. And as embarrassing as it is to admit he will even say how sexy he thinks I am pregnant. Which is hilarious cuz it so clearly not true but sweet of him to try to make his bratty wife feel better.

More things going on at the rigby household, because of my amazing job I was given the opportunity to become CPR certified. Which is so exciting for me cuz i feel like it is really good to know. I gave the people in the class a pretty good laugh being bent down on the floor trying to lean over the Dummy with my big belly in the way then sitting up with a cherry red face like I needed CPR myself. Im glad I could at least bring some entertainment for them. LOL.

My Princess

So I have the funniest story to share with you all. This past weekend my sister Jamie came down to get her hair done and while I did her hair her kids played at my house with Gregg. We always look forward to seeing the herd kids they are so much fun to be around. They are always begging to play with there uncle gregg he is there favorite.

Anyways, gregg and the kids decided to watch Despicable Me while I was down in my salon doing Jamie's hair. There is a song on that movie that Gregg started singing to Saylor that goes something like, "YOU ARE THE PRETTIEST GIRL." Saylor responded to Gregg by saying, "Yeah I'm a Princess. Your a princess too Gregg." LOL. I think his pride was a little crushed, but I have been dying from laughter all weekend. I sure love both of my princesses.

Baby Bumps!

Hey just wanted to show you all my baby bump thats growing fast. These are pictures of me at 21 weeks. Cant believe we have made it passed the half way mark; soon our little man will be here and we can hold him in our arms.

I also had to take a picture of me and my cute sister s baby bump. She is ahead of me by two weeks but as you can tell not ahead in size. Wah! So this is her at 23 weeks and me at 21. It is so fun being pregnant with her it makes the whole experience so much more special. She is literally the strongest person ever so it helps me toughen up and not complain and just enjoy this whole experience. I don't tell her this enough but she is my own personal hero and I look up to her so much. She is by far the most amazing mother I have ever known and now being pregnant myself I pray that I can be at least half as good as her. I don' t think that she realizes how much she helps me but, I could not make it through this as well as I have with out her. With everything from my 20 million questions, what to expect next, what we need to buy, and even as little as ideas for baby names she is 100% supportive and respectful and I cant tell her enough how much that means to me.
